We have a new paper out that we hope will help will shift the paradigm on how the fern life cycle is presented in textbooks. This paper began as a group discussion during the 2008 Organization for Tropical Studies course on Tropical Ferns and Lycophytes in Costa Rica. It’s great to see it finally published!
