The International Conference on Polyploidy took place in Ghent, Belgium last week, and was a great success. Researchers came from all over the world to present their work on a wide range of topics related to polyploidy, from population genetics and phylogenetics to cell biology and physiology.
Mike Barker helped to organize this meeting, and we had a nice reunion of current and former members (all postdocs!). UF was also well represented at these meetings, between faculty and current and past students, and Pam and Doug Soltis and I will be taking the plunge to organize the next polyploidy conference in Florida in 2022! Stay tuned for more information about that!
