The Society for the Study of Evolution invited me to be one of the people profiled for its series of posts on new faculty members in the field of evolution! The questions were really fun to think about, and I’m very honored to have been invited by the society to do this. The mentoring question, in particular, got me to commit to paper some of the ideas I’ve been thinking about for awhile, and it will serve as the seeds for a formal mentoring statement that I’ll add to this site sometime soon!
