Sessa lab in Costa Rica

Most of the lab has spent the last three weeks in Costa Rica on the Tropical Ferns & Lycophytes course through the Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS). Sessa first took this course as a student in 2008, and this time returned as a visiting faculty member. Postdoc Sally Stevens and PhD student Jerald Pinson also went along. We had a great time, including stays in San Jose and at two OTS stations, Las Cruces and La Selva. We saw tons of ferns, and had a great time getting to know other fern-focused colleagues and students. Course participants pictured above, at La Selva.
