Jabaily Lab visit

The past week has seen a turn towards angiosperm research in the Sessa lab! Dr. Rachel Jabaily, assistant professor at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, and her post-doc Dr. Andy Gardner, came down to visit for a few days. The major focus of their work is systematics of Goodeniaceae, a charismatic angiosperm family with gorgeous flowers. They are using plastome sequences to reconstruct the phylogeny of this group, and I’m thrilled to be helping out with the project.
